I grew up in Troy, NY and started ultra-running shortly after moving to Colorado 6 years ago. I love the Outdoor lifestyle the mountains offer. My passion is Trail Running and exploring the wilderness around me. I couldn’t ask for a better running partner than my German Shepard Rooster. I just completed my first 50 mile race at Run Rabbit Run in Steamboat.  I am part of the Vertical Runner Breckenridge race team, an ambassador for EPIC Bar. I work for Altra Running as the New England Tech Rep. I also love to snowboard powder, listen to music, do yoga, spend time with family and friends, cook and eat!

  1. Hey Justin,
I have to admit to being a little envious of where you live and the adventures and terrain you can explore!!!! Looking forward to reading more of what’s to come – all the very best with the 50 miler!

  2. Thanks for the follow! Your photos show you have some epic landscapes to run in… very lucky indeed (although I don’t envy the snow!) 😀

  3. Thanks for the like and follow…after my Marathon in June I will be traiining for a fifty as well. Best of luck and ill be following you.

    Cheers,

  4. Hi Justin, I just spent two weeks in Tahoe and did some mountain biking and running in the mountains. I love seeing your pics and reading about your training. I am now wondering if you mountain people might have something on us sea levelers. Keep running and good luck with the training.

  5. Rooster, super name for a German Shepherd! I’m scheduled for a 50 miler in Jan…may have to back it up a bit, as it took me a month to recover from the 50K in October. The Asics I ran in were too stiff for an Achilles tendon, not enough give, never had a problem before those shoes. Argh….and the steep inclines and descents did not help! Love Colorado. Been to Colorado Springs many a time!

  6. Justin, thanks so much for stopping by and subscribing to my blog! Wish I had your scenery for running. Great photos! I look forward to keeping up with your adventures.

  7. Wow!, good job on all your accomplishments, I am looking to run my first 100K in October and hopefully God willing I will run my first 100 miler in Decemebr and/or January. I too want to become an Ambassador for Altra running shoes, hoping they pick me up this year, but kudos to you and all the sponsors you have, looking forward to reading some more about your adventures!
