5/3/2015-Hiking Brush Creek/run in the rain

Last Sunday my girlfriend and I tried to check out the Fulford cave by Eagle, CO. We made it way out Brush Creek Road in the Sylvan Lake area too Yeoman campground where the road was closed. We ended up hiking around a little pond with the dog. It was a little snowy as its early season and that made for a little adventure with some post holing on the way back. It’s always fun checking out new places. It’s a beutiful campground outside of Eagle, CO. We had some Benderz Burgers after which is always awesome.

I have been trying to get back into steady training weeks running wise so to cap off the week I woke up from a nap to go run in the rain. It was storming out pretty good but I wore my Northface rain jacket and love running in the rain anyway. I was comfortable and mostly dry, listening to some good tunes as I ran around the empty streets and bike paths of Vail. It was peaceful and a nice end to the weekend.

I am getting ready to move back home to NY next week. I am looking forward to being around family and starting a new career. I have had an amazing almost 6 years living in Colorado and it’s been life changing. I am looking forward to more running back east and seeing what the future holds.
